Pyramid Alehouse - Seattle - SeattleVacationGuide.comSeattle has more than 40 breweries and brewpubs. The city is known for their famous lagers and ales. If you like a good beer, don’t depart Seattle without trying some of the brew from the local brewpubs and breweries. It’s heaven.

Here are a couple of suggestions to start you on your Seattle brewpub journey.

Elysian Brewing Company and Public House: This place’s floor to ceiling windows creates an open airy environment. The Elysian Brewing Company has that warehouse atmosphere.

They’ve been brewing beers here since 1996, including the immortal Indian Pale Ale. They have seasonal microbrews too. Drinkers can’t deny that it’s good.

Besides the beer they also have a good selection of food, including a vegetarian menu. I recommend the hummus platter.

The pub hours are 11:30 a.m. – 2 a.m. Mon – Fri and noon – 2 a.m. on the weekends.

Elysian Brewing Company and Public House are located at 1221 E. Pike St.

Pyramid Alehouse: In 1984, the first Pyramid Alehouse was born. Located directly across from the Safeco Field, which is home of the Mariners of course, it has 15 varieties of draft beer, including 4 year round beers, 2 seasonal, and selected alehouse.

Try the famous Hefe Weizen, a house favorite. The Pyramid is a great place for friends and family to get together on a game day or any other day. Try the brewer’s plate or a good burger to complement your beer.

They’re open 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Mon – Thurs, 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Fri and Sat, and 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Sun. The Pyramid Alehouse is located at 1201 First Ave.

Pike Pub and Brewery: Charles and Rose Ann Finkel opened the Pike Pub in 1989. Their goal was to make exceptional quality beer in mind. The interesting beers that are made right here are truly good. The kilt lifter is one you might want to try.

The Pike’s friendly atmosphere and great beer attracts locals and tourists alike. Though it gets pretty crowded in the summer and parking could be a problem, it’s worth the wait.

They serve great seafood fresh from the Pike Market and they’re open daily from 11 a.m. – midnight. Happy hour is from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. on the weekdays.

The Pike Pub and Brewery is located at 1415 First Ave.

For all the beer enthusiasts out there, what are you waiting for? Next time you’re in Seattle, make sure to stop by The Elysian Brewing Co., Pyramid Alehouse, and Pike Pub and Brewery. You won’t be disappointed.
