Three Great Seattle Golf Courses

Classic Golf Club - Seattle - SeattleVacationGuide.comWith lush landscaping and breathtaking scenery year round, it’s hard not to fall in love with Seattle. And for that reason alone, it’s the perfect place to go for a round or two of golf.

Seattle offers some of the best golf courses in the country. On a sunny day, (that’s right folks, they have sunshine too) people take advantage of the good weather and tee-up.

I’d recommend starting out by hitting these Seattle golf courses.

Classic Golf Club

One of the top-rated courses in the Northwest is the Classic Golf Club (pictured above). They’re known as “Best Greens in Washington State.” At a mere 125-acres, it is smaller than most of the golf courses around.

The Classic Golf Club offers a variety of lessons for both young and adults. Fees vary depending on the lesson.

Being a Players Club member will give you benefits and discounts. For more details call 253.847.4440.

The rates on weekdays (M-F): 18 holes $29, Player’s Club 18 holes $20, Twilight (noon) $20, 9 holes $20, Jr. $20 and Sr. $22.

Weekend/Holiday: 18 holes $39, Players Club 18 holes $29, Twilight (noon) $20, 9 holes $25.

Kayak Point Golf Club

Located in lovely Snohomish County, it’s less than a one-hour drive from Downtown Seattle and Eastside. The Kayak Point Golf Club’s 260-acre course with stunning sloping fairways was selected as one of America’s Top 50 Public Golf Courses to play. Opened in 1977, this golf course of wetlands and rolling forestland has a spectacular view of the Olympic Mountains.

Seattle Times recommends Kayak Point as a “Must play” in the State of Washington.

The rates Monday - Thursday from 7 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., $26-$32, 12:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. (twilight) $16-$18 and Senior rate $18, and on Fridays from 7 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. $30-$34, 12:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. (twilight) $16-$22.

Saturday and Sunday, 7-12:30 p.m., $32-$45, and $16 walking with cart, 12:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. (twilight) $22.

Washington National Golf Club

Known as the home to the University of Washington men and women golf teams, it is ranked as the 5th “Most Challenging Golf Course” in Washington State. And in 2006 it was named as one of “ The 101 Best Golf Experiences in the West” by Fairways and Greens.

Award-winning architect John Fought designed the Washington National Golf Club. The tee options range from 5,100 - 7,300 yards.

Golfers of all skills will find a challenging, yet rewarding experience on this beautiful course.
